From Wake Skates to EuroNASCAR: Mike Wise is Driving a Bigger Story with Emerald Harvest

Mike Wise wasn’t gunning for a EuroNASCAR career. He didn’t grow up dreaming of sponsorships or wrapping his car in the unmistakable green of a cannabis nutrient brand. But if you’ve followed him—on boards, on boats, or now on the track—you already know he’s not one for convention.

He’s a patient. He’s an advocate. He’s an athlete with more busted knees than most of us have trophies. And now, thanks to his partnership with Emerald Harvest, he’s carving up European racetracks at 100+ mph with a mission that goes well beyond the checkered flag.

A lifetime of motion

Wise has always been in motion. “I’ve been involved in sports my whole life and was a sponsored skateboarder very early on since the age of probably 15,” he says. “So I did that for a number of years, traveled around North America doing competitions.”

From skateboarding to wake skating, his path kept shifting, partially because his body demanded it. A broken knee lead to a path in wake skating; the sport gave him a way to keep moving without pounding pavement. He wasn’t just dabbling. He became the top-ranked wake skater in the world.

And then came another knee injury.

“In March 2024, I broke my other knee,” Wise says. “So that really accelerated my preparations to go into motorsports seriously and professionally.”

So, he pivoted again—into karting, test driving, off-season recruitment events. Eventually, something clicked. “I found out that there’s a NASCAR Euro Series and they were doing recruitment tests,” Wise explains. “I did well on that, and I was invited to participate in the series as a rookie.”

He’s now based in Poland, competing across Europe—and doing something you don’t see every day: driving a race car backed by a cannabis nutrient company.

A bold car and a bigger conversation

The Emerald Harvest wrap turns heads. But it also opens doors. “Every single driver who was in the Legend series [in Italy] liked the car and they came up to me, they wanted to talk about it,” Wise says. “Everyone really liked it.”

In an industry still clawing its way out from under a cloud of stigma, visibility matters. That car, on that track, is a signal flare.

But the partnership isn’t just for optics. It’s rooted in lived experience.

Wise has Crohn’s disease. Cannabis changed everything. He found medicinal relief in Colorado’s early cannabis market.

“I used RSO, Rick Simpson Oil,” he says. “Ever since that first day, I’ve been able to leave my house. I’ve been able to get a full night’s sleep. I’ve been able to eat a full meal. It changed my life 100% completely.

That transformation fueled a deeper calling. Wise started showing up at the Colorado Capitol, advocating for patient rights and access. “I was going to the Capitol every week to make sure that the rights and laws of patients were not trampled on,” he says.

And somewhere in that fight, he kept hearing about Emerald Harvest. Not from reps or ads—but from veterans and fellow patients.

“All my friends who are veterans were using Emerald Harvest, and they all told me it was really effective for growing the best plants,” Wise says.

So when the time came to look for sponsors, the answer was obvious. “I thought, who better to get on the car than a brand that I know and trust?

The link between precision and performance

For growers, Emerald Harvest is about dialing in the formula: hitting the sweet spot where expression meets consistency. For Wise, racing is the same game.

“To drive in NASCAR, if you want to be first in a race, you have to drive the car… they call it ‘drive it on the limit,’” he says. “If you did just a millimeter more pressure of your foot or a millimeter more pressure of turning in a degree, the car will spin and you will lose control.”

You live on the edge. Every tiny adjustment counts. Cultivators get it; change your inputs even slightly, and the outcome shifts. Racing is that logic at high speeds.

“There’s some fair bit of learning I have to do,” Wise says. “You have to do it in the fastest, most precise way. Just driving in a normal way isn’t fast enough to win.”

Sponsorship is the engine

Wise doesn’t mince words when it comes to what Emerald Harvest makes possible.

“Emerald Harvest doesn’t just sponsor me and they don’t just sponsor my race car, but they sponsor the team I’m on,” he says. “Without having Emerald Harvest, it’s safe to say that the car not only would not be on the track, but the team wouldn’t even be at the event.”

That includes gear, transport, tires, lodging, registration—the infrastructure that puts rubber on asphalt.

“You wouldn’t see us at all, period, if Emerald Harvest didn’t sponsor it,” he says.

This is what real partnership looks like. It’s not about slapping a logo on a car. It’s about shared values, lived experience, and mutual belief in the mission.

What’s next

Wise isn’t done. Not by a long shot. He’s already earned an international FIA license, and he’s eyeing more tracks—Mexico, Brazil, Canada.

Someday he might run a team. Maybe even own a circuit. But for now?

“I just want to race,” he says. “That’s what I love the most.”

And because of Emerald Harvest, that love is alive and roaring.
