BASE NUTRIENTS

BASE NUTRIENTS

Emerald Harvest has two base nutrient series: Grow, Micro, Bloom and Cali-Pro that provide the right concentrations and precise ratios of the macro and micronutrients. This foundation is literally one of the best things growers can do to ensure they reach their plants’ maximum genetic potential.

Our two base nutrient series are designed to suit different types of growers – but the ingredients and benefits to plants, however, are the same. Both of our base nutrients are fully developed fertilizers. That means every essential plant nutrient is included in these bottles.

Cali-Pro
Our premium 2-part nutrient series is formulated for growers who like to keep it simple. Equal parts A and B in the Grow and Bloom stages of plant growth make mixing easy and consistent.

Grow/Micro/Bloom
Our premium 3-part nutrient series is for growers who want the freedom to fine-tune their feeding programs. Growers with more knowledge or experience can fine tune their nutrient needs based on plant strain, grow equipment and conditions etc.

WHY PURCHASE EMERALD HARVEST
OVER ANOTHER BRAND?

What sets Emerald Harvest base nutrients apart is that they contain the right nutrient concentrations and precise ratios. This minimizes the risk of deficiencies and ensures plants get a diet that meets their nutritional needs throughout their life cycle.

Those two phrases—“right concentrations” and “precise ratios”—are the two most important selling points of our base nutrients.

Everything in our base nutrients—and in our supplements—is formulated perfectly. And all the products in our line work together like the pieces of a puzzle.

All base nutrients on the market try to satisfy the plant’s basic needs. Here’s what makes ours better:

  • Only the best ingredients (premium raw materials)
  • Only the ideal formulations (scientifically engineered)
  • the essential nutrients in the right concentrations
  • the precise ratios working in tandem with our supplements
  • no, or very low, heavy metal content – well below regulatory limits

Growers can rest assured they are getting the quality and purity for potent, flavorful, and safe cannabis.

WHAT MAKES EMERALD HARVEST
BASE NUTRIENTS WORK?

Using one of our base nutrient series ensures growers have their bases covered with a premium formulation of micro and macro nutrients.

For base nutrients, the 3 primary macronutrients needed for plant success are NPK:

  • Nitrogen (N)
  • Phosphorous (P)
  • Potassium (K)

Nitrogen (N)
Nitrogen is the consummate vegetative—a.k.a. “grow”—element, improving both the quantity and the quality of the dry end product. Plants that have sufficient nitrogen typically display vigorous growth.

  • Is a major component of:
    • Chlorophyll – helps boost photosynthesis
    • Nucleic acids (DNA & RNA)
    • Phytohormones
    • Amino acids
  • Assists in cell division
  • Required for all enzymatic reactions
  • Helps create amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins—and of life.

Phosphorus (P)
Phosphorus is the first of the two most important bloom-boosting elements.

  • Transfers nutrients and energy (its main role)
  • Used in photosynthesis
  • Stimulates flower initiation
  • Promotes fruit & seed formation
  • Encourages root development

Potassium (K)
Potassium is the second important bloom-boosting element.

  • Improves fruit & flower quality
  • Promotes translocation of sugars is essential to the proper functioning of stomata (thus regulating H20 utilization)
  • Increases phenolic compounds for greater pest resistance
  • Builds sturdy plant structures

Emerald Harvest base nutrients also contain:

Secondary Macronutrients
Calcium (Ca) – the “glue” that binds plant cell walls
Magnesium (Mg) – the central atom of chlorophyll, which helps plants use light for energy
Sulfur (S) – necessary for chlorophyll production

Micronutrients
These are present in tiny amounts – very tiny amounts. But they are critical to overall plant health and optimal growth.

Boron (B) – effectively translocates sugars to drive new growth while helping to produce desirable aromatic compounds
Chlorine (Cl) – assist in transporting ions through the plant (this is in its non-toxic form of Chloride – not Chlorine!)
Manganese (Mn) – Activates 35 different enzymes
Copper (Cu) – Improves crop color & flavor
Iron (Fe) – is a component of many of the proteins and enzymes used to make chlorophyll
Molybdenum (Mo) – Helps to convert inorganic forms of P into organic forms that plants can use
Zinc (Zn) – Is a component of all enzymes and is used in eth formation of chlorophyll

SHOULD GROWERS USE SUPPLEMENTS
WITH A BASE NUTRIENT?

Growers who only use a base nutrient to grow their plants can have great success with Emerald Harvest’s formulations. Everything a plant needs for its entire life cycle is in the base nutrient formulas and makes growing very simple. However, supplements take plants to the next level of quality, size and potency. To achieve the maximum genetic potential of their plants, growers need to use supplements.

Then why have separate bottles?
Some nutrients react with other nutrients in a very rapid way. For example, Cali-Pro Grow and Bloom are sold as separate A and B nutrients because their ingredients react when mixed. The same is true of some of the other supplements – they must be contained separately and only mixed when ready to use and only mixed at certain stages of growth. For this reason, premium nutrients don’t come in one giant bottle.

5.

CAN GROWERS USE CALI-PRO
OR GROW/MICRO/BLOOM WITH
THEIR CURRENT NUTRIENT LINE?

If growers insist, they can combine a competitor’s bloom booster or other supplement with one of our base nutrient series. However, this is what we call a Frankenstein feeding program. Growers might get decent results but to maximize their crop potential they need to use our product line (or any product line) as it was designed: as a complete feeding program. So, to ensure customer success it is beneficial to sell the entire line – not its parts.
